Kimber Land--The World's Best Theme Park

I wrote this in 2004. It still rings true. If I could have my own theme park this is what it'd look like:

"Kimber Land" is the name of my ideal theme park.

Lots of rollercoasters, no height requirements
trampolines: lots and lots of trampolines and spring boards to do flips
chocolate and peanut butter land
olympic size swimming pool, one heated, one cold
water slides and lazy river
in winter snow hills to slide down in tubes
anti gravity "flying" machine
shows, seats adjustable for height so feet touch floor
bellydancing, martial arts competitions, fashion shows
design your own clothes section
paintball and laser tag
bicycling and rollerblading trails
rollerskating/blading rink, and ice skating rink
scuba diving and hang gliding
surf lessons
strawberry fields pick your own strawberries chocolate line to dip
culinary and artistic classes
different parts of the park different genre of music, theme that goes with genre

Comments

Hi everyone. This is Kim (duh). I've had several people email me lately and tell me that they haven't been able to post comments to my blog entries. I am going to try to figure out what's going on with that. Sorry :-( That really sucks that no one can post to my site right now, however I am very glad that people are still able to email me. Glad to hear from you :-D

Oh! I checked out where I'll be working yesterday (the EOC...Emergency Operations Center). It was soooo cool. I was impressed with all the high-tech equipment used for disaster preparedness. My job is funded through a grant that has been given due to the concern for increasing national security. Go government for trying to make the country more secure, and in the process, creating a job for me that wasn't there 2 weeks ago! And go God even more so for opening up the doors for me! Yay! So, I'm excited about my new job (can't you tell). I've been unemployed for way to long. So I start Oct 25th I think. I'm lookin forward to it.

I've spent most of my day on the phone talking to old friends. Hi Efrain, Hi Mandy, Hi Mom, Hi Brian, Hi Matt (and anyone else who might be reading this)!!!

Okay, gotta go. I really do enjoy doing nothing and hanging around all day. Some might interpret it as laziness, but I just enjoy my leisure time. There is a time for work and a time for pleasure. Don't you agree?

Test Results

I just took a couple of cool tests online. One of them was an IQ test. They say my IQ is 127 and that I am an "insightful linguist." The other test I took was an inkblot test...very interesting. Here's what it said about me....http://web.tickle.com/tests/inkblot/result.jsp

I am 24 even though I look 14 years old

Errands for tomorrow:

1. Go to BEMA to fill out paperwork for job.
2. Call BSO to find out status of background check.
3. Pay bills (fun, fun, fun)
4. Call people haven't talked to a a while!
5. Um...from there I think of something to do...

Just sorting my thoughts. I am so glad I am back to posting. It makes me happy. Oh, for those of you who don't know, I just had a birthday on Wednesday (October 13th). I am 24, which means I am in my mid 20s. Yay! (I guess). No, I don't feel any different. Okay, yes I do, I feel more adult. The stress from all I was going through caused my skin to break out. On my young looking days I might be able to pass for 16, on my older looking days I could pass for 22, however last week someone thought I was 14! Just 10 years off of my actual age....ha ha. That's funny. Often times when people comment about how young I look, and often times it's annoying. However, I've started to feel bad for the people who make the mistake as they are often embarrased.

Let's see...what else? Um...well, I'm borrowing my Grandma's car (bless her heart) since mine is not drivable at this time. Pretty soon I might afford another car! I am so excited to have a reliable car with a cd player (that may not sound like a big deal, but it is to me)!

OH, for my birthday I got the Lord of the Rings triligy movie set (yes!) I had been wanting that since the first movie came out, so I'm very happy. I got a beautiful two-tones bracelet, and some books on prayer, healing, and comfort. An exercise journal, some styling shampoo, $$$, cards, and a mini chocoloate mud pie cake at the local sushi restaurant. I used to hate sushi (before I had ever tried it), now I love it! Yum.

Oh, my diet is kinda out the window, but I've been maintaining my current weight (having lost 5 lbs). I can fit into many of my clothes I had to put away in a box. I'd like to lose 5 more lbs but I'm not gonna stress about it right now! I'm enjoying food again. Yum yum, but I'm not eating if I'm not hungry and not eating passed being full, so that's good. I'm gonna use my exercise journal to track my progress.

Well, gotta go get some rest for tomorrow. Take care!

Back Again

Hi everyone. I am back again. I haven't felt like writing a post recently. I had stress of not having a job and getting into an accident that made my car undriveable. I, since my last post, have obtained a job with Broward Emergency Management Agency. Yay! I go in tomorrow to fill out paperwork and get a tour of the facility. I am anxious to start working. I know this'll change a lot of things. For one, I think having a structured schedule will bring some sanity and order back into my life. Two, the income will help me pay my bills and not have that hanging over my head will be such a relief.

Bye Bye Land of the Sub-Conscious

Okay. I am deleting my other Blog (the one about my dreams) because although I remember my dreams almost every night there has been nothing that I felt would be particularly interesting to other people. So bye bye Land of the Sub-Conscious!

The Latest News

Hi everyone. I know it's been a few days since I last wrote. Things have changed a little...I had a car accident. No one was hurt (and no other car damaged but mine), but my car is undrivable. So I am very discouraged as I have no job and no car. So my plan of action as of today is to get a job in the plaza right across the street (Big Lots is hiring) just for some income and think about my transportation options. There is a bus system for Broward county that runs by my house, so if I am in desperate need to get somewhere I can always take the bus. And I have friends who I'm sure would gladly give me a ride (although I feel bad depending on them as they have already been paying for my meals and entertainment). I guess the plus side is I know my friends and family really care about me. This is definitely a blessing. I am very tired always. I need a release from the stress. Tonight I am going to church. I go to church several times a week, it's the one thing that is consistent and gives me a schedule to follow.

Welcome to October!

It is now October. Great things about October:
1. It starts getting colder
2. October Fest
3. Hay Rides and Candy
4. My birthday on the 13th (I'm going to be 24 eek...)

Movies and Such

Today I went to the mall to look for seasonal work...no luck there :-( Then I went on a bicycle riding adventure (for 3 miles). It was so much fun. I am so glad I was given this bicycle for free. All I had to do was buy a new seat (the old one was VERY uncomfortable, the new one is nice n cushy). After bicycle riding I watched part of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which is a great movie (I saw it in the theaters 4 times, which beats my Lord of the Rings:Fellowship of the Rings record of 3).I stopped watching Eternal Sunshine after an hour because the Presidential Debates started. Man, they kept repeating themselves over and over. It was good to hear where they stood on the issue(s), however their repetitiveness gave me a headache (literally, I still have one). After the debates I came home and watched "Escape from Mars" on the Sci-Fi channel. It was entertaining. I saw some ads for Steven Baldwin's new series "Scare Tactics." It doesn't look like my kind of humor. Steven Baldwin came to the church I attend not to long ago to promote his new ministry "Livin It."
Well, I am getting extremely tired. Tomorrow my roomie and I are headed for the beach. Our tans have faded and we no longer look like Southern Floridians. This is definitely a bad thing.
